The Higher Institute of Religious Science (called ISSR) of the APRA was canonically erected by the Congregation for Catholic Education in 1999 with the mission to train several members of the Church at the university level and in the academic areas of their competence, with a great sense pastoral care that enables them to play an effective apostolate in the Church, through the Church and the Church. The ISSR has obtained the approval of the Statutes by the same Congregation and the recognition of the Italian Episcopal Conference. The Institute is located within the campus open as a modern and comfortable, surrounded by green, newly built and free of architectural barriers, where light and serenity come together for an ideal learning environment. The University is easily reached by public transport.

Since the academic year 2008/09, has established a program which enables the Baccalaureate and Licentiate in Religious Sciences, titles recognized by the Italian Episcopal Conference, who qualified in the Catholic religion in schools.
