Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Shroud PDF Print E-mail

Sunday, December 11, 2011, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, is celebrated in the church of the Holy Shroud of Turin, the Mass presided over by Monsignor Aldo Mongia, Vesco emeritus of Roraima (Brazil).

The copy of the image of Our Lady was donated in 2010 by the Archdiocese of Mexico City Archdiocese of Turin, during the Exposition of the Shroud. The Shroud and the "Tilma of Guadalupe" share the same kind of images "acheropite" that is "not made by human hands."

The meeting between the two sheets is proposed as a tangible sign of the love of Christ and Mary, the Son and the Mother.
